The Magician represents
One of the best known traits of the clownfish is that it lives among the tendrils of the venomous stinging anemone. The clownfish draws predators in, and the immobile anemone gets a free meal of the creature which wants to eat the clownfish. The clownfish's protection comes at a cost, however; they are not thought to be born with this immunity to the anemone's sting, so they must acquire it as they grow up. The potential is in them from birth, of course, but they endure small amounts of the anemone's sting which stays in a film of mucous over their bodies, and eventually, the anemone recognizes the fish as part of its own body and does not sting anymore.
